The 5,000 acre Mohican Memorial State Forest Trail boasts a continuous 24-mile loop through Mohican State Park. This is arguably some of the finest single track in Ohio, the only IMBA Epic designated trail in Ohio, and home of the largest mountain bike race in Ohio, the Mohican Mountain Bike 50k, 100k and 100 Mile race.

Race Highlights

Great Lakes Brewing craft beers will be free to all racers of legal drinking age.

This is a self-supported race. There will be water and Hammer Nutrition at trailhead two (about halfway point) for Sport and Expert MTB Classes. There are no water stations for MTB Novice Class Racers.

Cub Country BBQ will be on-site selling smoked meats with all the fix-‘ins.

All riders are welcome even if you haven't entered an OMBC Race all season.

Entry Information

Online registration is best pricing

  • Registration: Discounted entry available online until October 24, 2025 so register early
  • MTB Online Entry Fee: All Divisions are $40 before October 24, 2025. $50 on race day.
  • Novice Youth ages 12-14 and 8-11 is $20
  • There will be a $10 increase in entry fee after online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. October 18, 2025 for race day registration
  • Timing Anklet Fee: All racers will be required to purchase a timing anklet that is good for the entire season. There is a one-time fee of $6. Once you have a timing anklet, you will be required to enter the anklet number for each race when you register online.
  • MTB Race Plates: $5 refundable fee; If you already have an OMBC race plate, you will be asked to enter it at registration.

Course Information

Know before you arrive

  • Novice race distance: Novice division will complete one eight-mile loop.
  • E-Bike, Pro/Expert, Expert Masters, Singlespeed, All Sport Class Race distance: Entire 24.5-mile loop plus 1 mile out and back from Mohican Adventures start/finish: Total 26.5 miles.
  • PARK WARNING FOR RACERS and COURSE MARSHALLS: "Racers must know that they are to yield to traffic at park road crossings as they would when out riding the trail on any other day and volunteers must be directed that they are not to stop cars on the roads under any circumstances." - Mohican State Park

Follow the signs off State Route 3 for parking. DO NOT pull into or park in the campground unless you are camping, or you may be asked to move your vehicle. This is for the safety of children and racers. NO PARKING ALONG the ROAD! Strictly enforced!

Race Rules

  1. Racers may finish the race riding, pushing, or carrying a bike that is mechanically impaired so long as all laps have been completed and no short-cutting of the course has occurred. No bike parts, including wheel sets, may be accepted by a racer from a non registered racer along the race course. If a racer leaves the course for any reason, to make a repair for example, they must return to the point that they went off course in order to re-enter the race. All parts, including wheel sets, must remain near the start/finish or race parking area. Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification from the race.   
  2. Racers must ride with courtesy at all times, and allow faster riders to pass when trail space allows.
  3. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, and may result in the issuance of a DNF by a race official.
  4. Falsification of registration information will result in the issuance of a DNF.
  5. Race/rider protests may be filed with a race official within 20 minutes of completing the race.
  6. Sport and Novice level series division winners are required to move to a higher class the following season.
