Trail Description:

The trail features many short climbs and descents in and out of the ravines that line the lake. You'll also find some large log piles, narrow log bridges, a serpentine bridge, a curved bridge, a skinny bridge, and a variety of roots standing between you and the podium. The trails are suitable for most riders, from beginner to expert, with some short challenging down hills.

The Race course will be in the same direction as last year, reverse from the regular riding direction. Starting with the 'A' snowmobile loop, continuing up the hill on the 'B' snowmobile loop, then starting the singletrack at the entrance to the 'Two-Ponds' sign. Follow the Carsonite signs all the way back to the trailhead from there. The rock garden section will not be included. Like, last year, the B loop will be added to offer riders about 1/4 mile of extra joy.

Lap Distance: 8.5 miles

Location:  West Branch State Park

Directions:  (see Googlemaps link above)

NOTE: The bridge is no longer out and under repair along north end of Rock Spring Road.  Directions (from Cleveland): Take I-480 East. I-480 E becomes OH-14 (past the Turnpike). Go to Rt. 59 Turn left. After about 4 miles,(go straight at flashing red light) Turn right on Rock Spring. Not far past a bridge over the lake you will see signs for the mountain bike/snowmobile trails on the left. Turn left.  Trailhead parking on your right.

-Note- When using Yahoo directions from the south it will bring you in from the south so you won't have to cross the reservoir to get to the trailhead. Cable line Road and the trailhead will be on your right 1/2 mile before you cross the reservoir.

Post-Race Vittles: As part of a fundraising effort for CAMBA, Pulled Pork Sandwiches and other foods will be available for purchase at the race. All proceeds will benefit CAMBA. In addition, OMBC will be contributing $5 per racer to support CAMBA’s efforts.
